Home sales within the City of Barrie's boundaries rebounded in the month of May 2011 to 240 units (not including condominium sales) from April 2011's 225 units. April's unit sales numbers were down in 2011 significantly from April 2010's 325 units sold. May 2010 saw 242 units sold, so while May 2011 is down slightly, we are seeing more action then in April 2011. Note that these numbers are single family homes - detached, semi-detached, town homes and links.
There are numerous factors that can explain Aprils drop in sales, the economy, debt factors, gas prices, etc, etc., however I will simply just blame it on all the rain!
